Riddle 11: a detective found a dead man sitting at his desk with a gun in his hand, and a tape recorder was on his desk...the detective came in and picked up the tape recorder and pressed the play button...he heard "i am sick of my life. i have no purpose to live" and then a gunshot.the detective instantly knew it was murder, not suicide. how?

Answer: If the man had killed himself, the tape would have continued playing and the detective would have had to rewind it. However, it was already at the start, showing the murderer must have rewound it after killing the man.

Riddle 6: Two police offers were investigating a mysterious death.

Riddle 5: A horse travels the same distance every day.
Oddly, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles.
It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true.
Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?

Answer: The horse operates a mill and travels in a circular clockwise direction. The two outside legs will travel a greater distance than the two inside legs.
